The background and anatomy of the project
The project developed from discussions on the impact of Web 2 systems in education and the difficulty in securing a room for innovative teaching. We decided to work around the obstacle of a fixed room and consider the option of making the project fully mobile - able to deliver in existing locations and with the option of setting up a mobile IT resource wherever needed using laptops and wifi.
We will be attempting to develop and manage the project in the spirit of the project - using collaborative, freely available web 2 systems on the NET. The project is developing and exposed in the public space.
A Wiki was considered a good place to start a collaborative effort to work up a shared project description. We looked at pbwiki, wikispaces and wikia before settling on zoho.
We chose zoho because the other tools in its environment look like helping out - zoho has a full Web 2 office suite, which includes a meeting space, project and planning tools.
