Set up class/course Blogs within ESOL across the 4 sites - using the Blog interface to encourage work on class projects. Ie: Teacher sets up a task which students have to research/prepare. Students respond to task set by entering their results in the comment section. Teacher oversees and can respond/monitor when appropriate. So the Blog is like a 'host' for activities and the teacher will be trained by me to 'drive' the Blog.
I'd like to get a few going within ESOL BC first and then I can use/adapt/reflect on those to illustrate to other ESOL Divs.
Hopefully it will benefit the division and create resources/examples that could be rolled out and adapted fro other subject areas.
Here's my current Blog: http://at-hammersmith.blogspot.com/
And here's the example I found from Australia that helped me decide on this approach (also see my Blog comments on previous attempts with students) : http://room20wps.globalteacher.org.au/
I'd like to work on this from Jan 07 to the February Half term if possible.
